Elizabeth Hazen and Robert M. Tobias read from their poetry. Includes literary trivia quiz and open mic.
Elizabeth Hazen is a poet, essayist, and teacher. She currently teaches poetry through the Goucher Prison Education Partnership. Her work has appeared in Best American Poetry, Epoch, Threepenny Review, Shenandoah, and other journals. She has published three collections of poetry: Chaos Theories (2016), Girls Like Us (2020), and The Sky Will Hold (2026). She lives in Baltimore with her family.
Robert M. Tobias is an 83-year-old debut poet whose career has spanned manufacturing, labor leadership, and higher education. He has served both as a general counsel for a labor union and later, a union president. He also developed and taught in the Key Executive Leadership Certificate Program at American University. Currently a full-time poet, he has brought a lifetime of experience to his debut collection, What Lives in Me.
