Dahlia Aguilar and Sid Gold read from their poetry. Plus literary trivia quiz and brief open mic.

Dahlia Aguilar is a 2025 DC Arts and Humanities Fellow. Her poems have appeared in Naugatuck River Review, Acentos Review, The Skinny Poetry Journal, Journal X, Boundless, and the award-winning anthology Somos Xicanas. Her debut manuscript La Otra Cara, will be released this fall as part of Finishing Line Press’ New Women’s Voices Contest and her manuscript, Por La Costa, paneled for the Purple Ink Press Beloved Chapbook Contest. A Texas-born Chicana, she is a long-time resident of Washington, DC.

Sid Gold is the author of five collections of poetry including Very Eyes (Poets' Choice, 2023). He is a two-time recipient of the Maryland State Art Council’s Individual Artist Award for Poetry and his poems appear in five anthologies. In 2019 he was voted among Baltimore's Best Poets in the Baltimore Magazine Reader's Poll. His work has appeared in journals for more than forty years. A native New Yorker, he has lived in Hyattville MD for a number of years.
