Maryland Emancipation Day was first celebrated on November 1, 1864. It marked the change in the Maryland State Congress to free all enslaved people from their bondage.

Join us on Sunday, November 2 for live music featuring jazz artists, Linda D. Harris and David Cole. Enjoy historic games, crafts and free guided tours of the Thomas Harper Cabin at Brookside Nature Center.
