Named after the long time Wheaton resident and community activist, the Marian Fryer Town Plaza is centrally located in downtown Whaton directly above the Wheaton metro station. The Plaza is home to signature events like the Taste of Wheaton, TGiF Summer Series, and the Wheaton Arts Parade.
Located across the street from the plaza at 2425 Reedie Drive sits the new 14-story M-NCPPC building headquarters, the first LEED Platinum Certified building in Montgomery County. In addition to being the home to Montgomery Parks and Planning, building tenants include the Whetaon Urban District, Department of Recreation, Department of Environmental Protection, Department of Permitting Services, Community Use of Public Facilities and the Department of Health and Human Services.
