Wheaton Town Square Public Art
Location: Wheaton Town Square At Veirs Mill/Grandview Avenue and Reedie Drive
Artist: Norie Sato

In 2016 it was announced that Seattle-based and award-winning artist, Norie Sato, would be the Master Artist for the future Wheaton Town Square Project.  Sato's work will be featured in the town square area, which will also have pedestrian spaces, a water feature, an amphitheater for concerts and events, and a stage. A critical aspect of the art plan is that Sato will draw on the resources of the local art community in Wheaton. $250,000 has been set aside for public art.

Ms. Sato will work with the project designers and the community to create site specific public art that will reflect the existing "authenticity and vibrancy" of the Wheaton community.” One of her strengths is working with local artists, and Ms. Sato has already begun that process with a community artists meeting.
