Located in the heart of downtown Wheaton, each venue is steps away from the Wheaton Metro Station, intersects three major thoroughfares and provides ample parking within walking distance, making it a central and accessible location for all!

Marian Fryer Town Plaza

The Marian Fryer Town Plaza offers a large open space concept providing natural lighting and relaxing city views, great for entertainment. The Amphitheater seating area contains six levels of terrace seating a 20’ x 30’ stage covered by a tensile canopy structure. There are multiple access points to the venue, including a pedestrian bridge connecting to the Wheaton Metro parking garage, the Metro Tunnel Entrance, and access to Georgia Avenue. Wheaton Veterans Urban Park

Wheaton Veterans Park is a one-acre Park that provides a beautiful open space in the downtown Wheaton area. This park is the perfect gathering space for small sized events from Yoga classes to Salsa at Sunset. Please note, that Wheaton Veterans Park was established to pay tribute to our military veterans that served this country.

Saturday & Sunday, 9:00 am to 09:00 pm

Community Use Conference Room

2425 Reedie Drive, 2nd Floor , Wheaton MD 20902

The Community Use conference room serves as a dynamic space where County resources converge. Tailored for small meetings, impactful trainings, engaging seminars, support groups, yoga classes and more, this space is aimed for community-focused initiatives. Maximum capacity for this space is 20-30. For personal celebrations such as birthday parties, wedding, receptions, or other similar private events, we ask that you explore alternative venues outside the Regional Service centers. Priority use will be given to community fostered activities.

Monday—Friday, 09:00 am to 05:00 pm *

*After 5pm use is subject to pre-authorization

How to Reserve

All county facilities in Wheaton available for public use are booked through the Community Use of Public Facilities (CUPF). CUPF provides community organizations and public agencies with access to public schools and government facilities for community services, programs, and events. CUPF issues use permits for public access to County facilities at scheduled times. Get more information on CUPF.

Users may request space for events as far as 60 days in advance but should provide a minimum of 45 days' notice. Last minute reservations will be considered no more than 14 days' notice. Reservations requests can be submitted through ActiveMONTGOMERY.

Facility Rental Cost Assistance

The Wheaton Community Access Program (WCAP) will distribute a total of $75,000 in in-kind assistance towards the reduction of permitting costs for use of local government facilities and venues. The goal of this program is to provide an automatic deduction towards event rental fees, enabling its community user groups to save money and utilize resources towards other incentives that can make a positive impact on the community.
